OUR MISSION

HTP Homes believes that no human is expendable and everyone deserves a second chance. We teach construction and job readiness skills to at-risk and justice system involved individuals. We strive to empower each person we serve to be productive and successful members of their communities.

Approximately 60 percent of returning

citizens were unemployed before their initial
incarceration and are unemployed a year
after being released.

 

Within a four-year period, only 40 percent of

returning citizens were employed, and those who
were able to secure employment struggled with job

retention.

HTP Homes recognizes that our program participants have faced tough circumstances from the effects of living in impoverished communities. We believe that everyone deserves a chance at a dignified, empowering, and inspiring life. That starts with family-sustaining jobs. Our skills training and job readiness program is built on a foundation of care, listening to each individual's unique story and addressing the root causes of their challenges. Second Chance hiring and a pathway to meaningful employment are critical components to successful reentry for justice-involved persons.

We understand that our job does not end with teaching trade and workforce readiness skills. We work with third-party partners to provide wraparound support with a focus on emotional wellness, anger management, and financial literacy.

Our goal is career-focused job placement after our program participants successfully complete their training. Family-sustaining jobs will break the cycle of unemployment, incarceration, and recidivism.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
