THE BUILDING SECOND CHANCES PROGRAM
THREE STEPS TO SUCCESS
Every day we strive to help individuals visualize a life different
from what their circumstances dictate.
TRAIN
Our learn to earn Building Second Chances Program is an up to 12-month job pathway model providing the skills essential for careers in construction and other in-demand industries and job readiness training. We employ a cyclical skills training process. Each cycle focuses on bringing program participants through all the stages necessary for job longevity and life-changing
success.
Nearly 1/3 of children and youth in Baltimore City have at least two adverse childhood experiences (e.g., exposure to violence, mental illness, loss, alcohol or drug abuse, economic hardship). We understand that our job does not end with teaching trade skills. We work with third-party partners to provide the holistic wraparound support necessary to ensure our participants are prepared to thrive, with a focus on emotional well-being, anger management, conflict resolution, financial literacy, and workplace etiquette.

NURTURE
Our goal is full-time job placement with family-sustaining salaries after successful completion of the program. We also instill a passion for our trainees to pay it forward and be the catalyst that breaks the cycle of joblessness, incarceration, and recidivism in their communities.
